dc.description.abstractΤο φαινόμενο της λογοκλοπής απασχολεί διαχρονικά τις κοινωνίες και ιδιαίτερα την επιστημονική και ακαδημαϊκή κοινότητα. Μεγάλη έξαρση του φαινομένου παρατηρείται τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες με την διάδοση του διαδικτύου και την εύκολη πρόσβαση σε πληθώρα ηλεκτρονικών πηγών. Η ευκολία αντιγραφής κειμένων από το διαδίκτυο, έχει προκαλέσει προβληματισμό και ανησυχία, ωστόσο η εξέλιξη της τεχνολογίας βοηθά και στον εντοπισμό και αντιμετώπιση της λογοκλοπής, με τα λογισμικά εντοπισμού των περιπτώσεων λογοκλοπής. Έχουν διεξαχθεί κατά καιρούς πολλές έρευνες τόσο στη Ελλάδα, όσο και στο εξωτερικό, οι οποίες διερευνούν τις διάφορες διαστάσεις της λογοκλοπής. Καταγράφουν τα αίτια, το επίπεδο γνώσης και εκπαίδευσης σχετικά με τη λογοκλοπή, τις συνέπειες και τους τρόπους αντιμετώπισης. Η παρούσα έρευνα διεξήχθη σε προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές όλων των επιστημονικών πεδίων, οι οποίοι φοιτούν στα ελληνικά πανεπιστήμια. Χρησιμοποιήθηκε η μέθοδος της ποσοτικής έρευνας, με διανομή ερωτηματολογίων. Συνολικά συγκεντρώθηκαν 467 ερωτηματολόγια από προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές όλων των ελληνικών πανεπιστημίων και επιστημονικών κλάδων. Έγινε προσπάθεια καταγραφής των αντιλήψεων των φοιτητών σχετικά με την έννοια της λογοκλοπής, των απόψεών τους σχετικά με τις αιτίες και τις συνέπειες που προβλέπονται από τα πανεπιστήμιά όπου φοιτούν. Τέλος, διατυπώθηκαν προτάσεις των φοιτητών σχετικά με την αντιμετώπιση του φαινομένου στα ελληνικά πανεπιστήμια. Σκοπός της έρευνας είναι να συμβάλει τόσο στην καταγραφή της κατάστασης που επικρατεί στα ελληνικά πανεπιστήμια αναφορικά με την εξάπλωση της λογοκλοπής, όσο και στη δημιουργία του απαραίτητου μείγματος πολιτικών και δράσεων που θα οδηγήσουν στην εκπαίδευση των φοιτητών και κατ΄ επέκταση στην αντιμετώπισης του φαινομένου.el

dc.description.abstracttranslatedPlagiarism is a longstanding phenomenon that worries the scientific and the university societies. In the last few decades, due to the wide spread of the internet that provides easy and free access to a plethora of digital resources, the cases of plagiarism appear to increase worldwide. Copying the work of others has become very easy; however, the technological progress has made the detection of plagiarism easier, with the use of the appropriate software. Many surveys, concerning the spread of plagiarism, have been conducted, both in Greece and worldwide. These surveys examine all the different aspects of plagiarism. Some aim to analyze the causes that lead to plagiarism, others try to document the level of knowledge and education regarding plagiarism, others examine the consequences and ways of dealing with the problem. This research attempts to discover the opinions, perceptions, and proposals of undergraduate students at the Greek universities regarding plagiarism. The survey method that was used is the quantitative method, with the use of questionnaires. A total of 467 questionnaires were collected, by students from all Greek universities and most scientific fields. This research is an attempt to collect data regarding the students’ perceptions of the essence and concept of plagiarism, their opinions about the factors that lead students to plagiarism and the consequences that the universities where they study, impose. In addition, through the questionnaire, students had the opportunity to express their proposals about the methods they think are appropriate, for plagiarism to be prevented in an effective way. The main objective of this research is to portray the extent of the problem of plagiarism in the Greek universities. Additionally, it aims to contribute to the solution of the problem and the creation of the necessary policies and mixture of methods, that will lead to the required education, for the students to avoid plagiarism.el
