dc.description.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία με τίτλο «Εφαρμογή Android για την αναγνώριση και καταγραφή προϊόντων μέσω barcode» αναπτύχθηκε στα πλαίσια της υποχρεωτικής εκπόνησης διπλωματικής εργασίας από κάθε φοιτητή κατά τη διάρκεια του 8ου (ή μεταγενέστερου) εξαμήνου σπουδών όπως ορίζεται από το πρόγραμμα σπουδών του τμήματος Μηχανικών Πληροφορικής και Υπολογιστών. Η εφαρμογή μέσω της ικανότητας της να σαρώνει γραμμωτούς κώδικες, αποσκοπεί στην ταχύτερη καταγραφή του προϊόντος καθώς και των χαρακτηριστικών του σε διαχειρίσιμα αρχεία. Ο χρήστης όταν πραγματοποιεί σάρωση ενός γραμμωτού κώδικα, η εφαρμογή συνδέεται σε μια βάση δεδομένων, και όλες οι πληροφορίες του προϊόντος που είναι συνδεδεμένες με τον συγκεκριμένο κωδικό, επιστρέφονται και εμφανίζονται στην οθόνη του χρήστη. Ο ίδιος μπορεί ακόμη να καταγράψει όλα τα προϊόντα που έχει καταγράψει και να τα εξάγει σε διαχειρίσιμο αρχείο excel ή ακόμα και να ενημερώσει παλαιά αρχεία excel με νέα πλέον καταγεγραμμένα προϊόντα. Επιπλέον στον χρήστη δίνεται η ευκαιρία να αποστείλει τον κωδικό που αναγράφεται στο γραμμωτό κώδικα του προϊόντος σε ένα μηχανογραφικό σύστημα, να μοιραστεί τα αρχεία των καταγεγραμμένων προϊόντων μέσω διαφόρων πλατφορμών/εφαρμογών και να αναζητήσει αυτόματα το προϊόν μέσω του κωδικού που σαρώθηκε, στην μηχανή αναζήτησης Google.	el

dc.description.abstracttranslated	The present thesis entitled "Android application for product identification and registration via barcode" was developed in the context of the mandatory thesis preparation by each student during the 8th (or later) semester as defined by the curriculum of the Computer Engineering Department. The application is intended to make the procedure of product identification faster and safer, due to its main key feature of scanning, decoding barcodes, fetching and recording all of the products characteristics in manageable files. When a user scans a product, the application connects to a remote database, and all the product information that is linked to the specific product code is retrieved from the database and shown to the user. Moreover, he can even record all the products that he scans and export them to an excel file or even update old excel files with newly recorded products. In addition, the user is given the opportunity to send the code of the product to a computer system, to share the files of scanned products and to automatically search product code in the Google search engine.	el
