dc.description.abstract	Το εντερικό μικροβίωμα αποτελεί ένα σύνθετο και δυναμικό σύστημα μικροοργανισμών, με σημαντικό ρόλο στην φυσιολογική λειτουργία του ανθρώπινου οργανισμού. Τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει βρεθεί στο επίκεντρο του ερευνητικού ενδιαφέροντος, καθώς οι μεταβολές στη σύσταση του φαίνεται να σχετίζονται άμεσα με τη πρόκληση φλεγμονών και συναφών νοσημάτων. Στο επιστημονικό προσκήνιο παρευρίσκεται, επίσης, η διατροφική αξία των υπερτροφών, οι οποίες φαίνεται να έχουν πολλαπλά οφέλη στην υγεία του ανθρώπου, λόγω της αφθονίας τους σε θρεπτικές και βιοδραστικές ουσίες. Νέα επιστημονικά ευρήματα επιβεβαιώνουν ολοένα την ευεργετική τους δράση στην πρόληψη και αντιμετώπιση μεταβολικών, καρδιακών και νευρολογικών παθήσεων, μέσω της βελτίωσης των μικροβιακών ισορροπιών του εντέρου και συνεπώς των σχετικών συμπτωμάτων. Η παρούσα μελέτη εστιάζει στη διερεύνηση της επίδρασης της διατροφικής πρόσληψης υπερτροφών στην πρόληψη ασθενειών και την προάσπιση της υγείας του ανθρώπου, μέσω μεταβολών στη σύσταση του εντερικού μικροβιώματος. Για το σκοπό αυτό μελετήθηκαν πρόσφατα ευρήματα αναφορικά με τη λειτουργία του εντερικού μικροβιώματος, ενώ αναδείχθηκαν τα είδη και η δράση των βιοδραστικών συστατικών που περιέχονται σε επιλεγμένες υπερτροφές, και που αλληλεπιδρούν με το μικροβίωμα με πιθανά οφέλη για την ανθρώπινη υγεία.	el

dc.description.abstracttranslated	The gut microbiota is a complex and dynamic system of microorganisms that plays a crucial role in the normal function of the human body. For the past few years it has been at the epicenter of research, due to the fact that changes in its composition appear to be directly responsible for the occurrence of gastrointestinal inflammations and related diseases. The nutritional value of superfoods can also be found at the scientific forefront, as it seems to have multiple benefits for human health, due to their abundance in nutritients and bioactive constituents. New scientific findings confirm their beneficial effect in the prevention and treatment of metabolic, cardiovascular and neurological diseases, through the enhancement of the microbial balances of the intestine and associated conditions. The present study focuses on the investigation of the influence of dietary consumption of superfoods on disease prevention and health improvement, through the compositional alterations of gut microbiota. For this purpose, recent findings concerning the function of the intestinal microbiota were studied, while the types and effects of bioactive components contained in selected superfoods, which interact with the microbiota and provide potential health benefits, were highlighted.	el
